Sorry for the lack of updates. Real life kind of took over and is still taking up a decent amount of my time. For now, my sports cards activities will be slowing down – if not coming to a halt, for a while. I need to take care of my personal/family stuff and I need to find some time to finish collating 2010 Topps Series 2 sets so I can get them on eBay and make some of my money back!
Hope to have the remaining box breaks posted sometime soon, but no promises!
In case you have not noticed, I am way behind on getting these two cases posted – in the interest of getting these posted even quicker I am going to only document the “hits”. I hate to do that, but I have other things I need to get done. So here we are on box #6 of 12

I am not going to list the complete set and base doubles anymore. It takes too long to collate the sets and such. It seems you get a full set out of each jumbo box, so assume there was a full set with around 60 or so doubles. So here’what came out of box #5!

Well, about 3 hours ago before we had to run to the store this nice package from UPS arrived on our porch. I was able to get it unpacked so far, but that’s it. AAAANNNDDD we have company tonight. SO I will be busting this stuff over the weekend and hopefully have a full break posted. And if you can’t tell from the pic – that is 2 cases of 2010 Topps Series 2 Baseball Jumbos. I’m getting pumped!

I also saw a rumor in that post about the White Sox possibly being given the Lincoln treatment.
I will make a new post when I get more info
edit: it seems the highest bid of about $24k was retracted and the card is now sitting at $17.1k. Which is still absolutely ridiculous.

I’m sure you have heard that the 2010 Bowman Stephen Strasburg Superfractor 1/1 has been pulled. You may have heard it has been put on Ebay. You also may have heard that it was going for $10,500 or so a day or two ago. What you may NOT have heard is that this thing is now going for $24,000. Yes. TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS.
I could just about buy the new truck I have been looking at for that much. That’s insane. I AM holding on to my 2010 Bowman base auto of him, hoping it goes up – but come on. $24k for a card? Do people really think this card is going to have a market value much higher than that? Maybe it will, but I seriously doubt it.
Here’s the card, and the ebay link:
